For the past 10 years I have been engaged in a labour of love (and hate!) I have re-designed and reconstructed the interior of my home. This has included the successful completion of the following projects:
Converting 2 bedrooms into 3 by building a studded wall (which is still standing after 10 years and 3 children!)
Installed an open fire and built a stone fire place
Completely restored the bathroom and installed a new suite and shower
Completely re-designed and installed a modern kitchen
Laid hardwood and laminate flooring
Totally replaced flat roofing (still no leaks!)
Converted out buildings into a "family friendly bar"
Although transforming my home has given me great pleasure, my true joy and passion is working outdoors, there is no greater satisfaction than transforming a garden, creating beauty and then sitting and enjoying the fruits of my labours during the long hot summer's, well thats the plan, the gardening I can do, the hot summers is more than I can arrange!
My hobbies and interests have always been connected with outdoor pursuits and conservation of the countryside. For the past 15 years I have been a part time game keeper on a small shoot in York, where my knowledge and skill in chainsaws are being put to good use in the management of the surrounding woodland.
